Dr. Iron is a combination of iron and sulfur. Iron is mixed with molten sulfur which then makes up thousands of tiny metal oxide particles in a granule. When the granules come in contact with moisture in the soil, they shatter and disperse, converting from the oxide form to the plant-available sulfate form. It is a genuine Monterey product.
