They have Thermoplastic, glass-reinforced hydraulic housings, so they're lighter weight for easier one-man installation. Impellers and flanges are made from glass-reinforced Noryl™. HCP pumps are quiet, efficient and designed to recirculate lightly

A clear lid allows visual inspection of the strainer basket, to see when it needs cleaning, and opens without tools. Four pumps in the Hayward Commercial Series allow right-sizing for most applications.
